Roof

Sarah Rummler, born in 1976 in Berlin, Graphic designer.

The picture of the roof has been taken from above and one can see that although it is the same roof, both sides look fairly different. Seen as a metaphor for German division different influences and experiences, affected to both parts, what made them look unequally to each other. But still there is only ONE roof, such as only ONE Germany. The artist wants to emphasize, underlined by the phrase in the center of the poster, that there are more similarities than differences between the two parts of Germany. But as also shown by the roof ridge, a border between the two parts is still visible.
