글자로 만들어진 벽과 군인

포스터는 예술적이고 조화로운 디자인으로 이루어졌으며 대회에서 중요한 세 가지 요소, 군인, 벽, 국기를 포함하고 있다.이것은 장기간에 걸친 독일분단 뿐만 아니라 분단으로부터 도망치려는 사람들을 나타내기도 한다.장벽인 완전히 닫히기 전에 서독으로 건너간 독일 군인 콘라드 슈만의 유명한 사진은 수 백 명의 사람들이 똑같이 하도록 영향을 주었다.배경의 구성을 보면 벽은 끝이 없는 것처럼 보이고 실제 벽이 독일을 나눈 것처럼 포스터 또한 분할하고 있다.벽은 ‘boundless(경계 없는)’이란 단어로 구성되어 있고 흰 배경은 이 당시 평화와 국경의 부재를 갈망하는 독일의 욕구를 나타낸다.

Wall of words and soldier

The poster contains artistic and harmonic designs and consists of three elements that are important in the contest: soldier, Wall, flag. This should not only advert to the long-lasting German division, but also to those who tried to escape. The well-known picture of the East German soldier Conrad Schumann who had jumped to the West shortly before the Wall was closed completely shall express the emotions that affected hundreds of people to do the same. By using the landscape format the Wall seems to be endless and in addition divides the poster, such as the real Wall divided the country. The Wall consists of always the same word “boundless” and in addition the white background expresses the desire of Germany in these times, to find peace and boundlessness.
