포스터의 중요한 암시로써 철조망은 영토 뿐만 아니라 동독과 서독 사이의 사회적 경계이다. 철조망 뒤에 파란 하늘이 가리키는 것은 장벽의 붕괴를 통해 자유가 나타나게 됐다는 것이다. 망가진 철조망에 있는 “grenzenlos(boundless, 경계가 없는)”는 경계’(bound)’가 전보다 ‘줄어(less)’ 가고 있는 의미 또한 있다. |

Being the central metaphor of the poster the chain-link fence is a symbol for the territorial as well as the social border in between the people from East and West. As indicated by the blue sky behind the fence, primary through the collapse of the Wall the freedom became visible. The adjustment of “grenzenlos” (boundless) into the broken fence shall implicate by using a wordplay that the “bounds” are “less” than before.
